Green Skate Kansas City 2015

This year’s Green Skate was a lot dryer than last years.  We had 15 riders wearing green and cruising along a 7 mile route that started and ended at the shop.  After stretching out along Southwest Blvd, we cruised past the Cross Roads district, up Main to Union Station and Liberty Memorial, picked up a quick session at Penn Valley before bombing back down Karnes to meet back at the shop for hot dogs, cold drinks, great stories about the skate, and lots and lots and lots of high fives. We had riders who had only just stood on a board, all the way to many of our Crew Riders all spreading the message of using longboards as an alternative, effective, means of Green Travel in the city.  I hope you will join us around Earth Day next year for Green Skate 2016.
